Financial Planner

One of my earliest memories when I was growing up has to do with money. When I was 6 years old, there was a glass apple juice jar in my parent’s bedroom filled with change. One day I emptied it out all over their floor. I sorted and counted it, and after I was done, I put it all back into the jar in order of denomination. I proudly reported back to my Mom and Dad how much was in it. It became a regular thing for me, and I loved to watch that number climb. I learned from a very early age that I liked watching money grow and that translated into a career of watching my client’s money grow and grow and grow (And I still love to count change).

My decision to become a business owner: As my career in finance began, I was encouraged by my parents to help other people just like I helped them with their change jar. I started with a background in banking and accounting. Then I joined my future partner as a Financial Services Assistant in 2010. After obtaining several licenses and becoming a Financial Advisor, I rose to partner status in 2015 and in 2020 I became owner. Now, 14 years later, I continue to help my clients by learning about their financial goals for their
families, then working together to keep an eye on their goals. It’s been a joy, and I look forward to continuing for years to come.

Motivation: Another thing my parents instilled in me from an early age was to always be learning. Professionally, that means that I am always taking more classes and then putting what I learn into action for my clients. To that end, I have obtained my ChFC® (Chartered Financial Consultant), RICP® (Retirement Income Certified Professional) and WMCP® (Wealth Management Certified Professional) designations. Currently, I am in the precertification
stage of getting my CFP® (Certified Financial Planner™) designation. I have successfully completed all the coursework as
well as passing the CFP® exam in early November 2023. The desire to assure clients that retirement is an achievable goal is deeply important to me.
